We collaborate with organizations, institutions, or companies that focus on the social good or that are in need to solve a problem where graphic design research can be applied to find an effective solution that benefits or supports the environment, the economy or health of a community, fights poverty, supports social innovation, or aims to reach an audience with information that supports its wellbeing, common knowledge, or creative potential. We keep our collaborator in the center of the process as our facilitator, liaison with the user, and proximate source of information. Our design process branches out in every stage, reaching experts, studying the problem and beneficiaries, and experimenting with ideas through visualization and prototyping. This circular system offers the possibility to re-apply methods employed in previous stages, evaluating and reconsidering steps, until a viable solution is found.
Like any design process, this framework is often under review and experiencing new adjustments.
